The First Website Company, LLC was founded in 1997 by to design, construct, and operate niche B to C websites characterized by their simplicity of design, low maintenance, and high margins.  Laurence McKinney, an experienced entrepreneur, contributes business strategy, content design, and his thirty experience in media, marketing, management.  Suki McKinney, brings a professional background in the financial services sector, has designed, created and maintained the Company’s commercial websites, as well as providing clients with services ranging from graphic design to entire sites. The company’s first site, OilofTara.com, has been profitable since it was launched. 

             In 1999, the Company designed and launched its first Ivy affinity site, HBSGrad.com, for Harvard Business School alumni.  Over the next three years, the concept of aggregating upscale consumers with expensive taste and prime demographics was refined, and in 2003, EverythingHarvard.com, the first site in the EverythingIvy Network, was launched.  During the next two years, the company expects to launch a total of 19 sites that will eventually include the entire Ivy League, “Seven Sisters”, Stanford, MIT, and Simmons.  For more information, visit our sites, or click here.
